High street video game store, GAME, has released a free-to-download title which simulates the Christmas shopping experience ‘complete with all the disappointment, frustration and suspension of the laws of physics that you’d find in a real shopping centre’

Christmas communications can often be far too earnest (look no further than this year’s ‘event’ Christmas adverts for examples) so it’s nice to see a tongue-in-cheek campaign that riffs on the soul-destroying experience that Christmas shopping is at times


Once again we are seeing in-game environments being used for creative PR campaigns, and in this instance the tactic had proved excellent in getting cut-through in the crowded Christmas market
